The brain is one of the most important organs of any human being. Therefore, keeping our brain healthy and trying to improve our brainpower should be our first priority.  So here we go through some simple tips that can help you improve your brain power, keep your mind engaged and excel in life and work. ‌‌

In general, we feel that exercising makes us physically fit and strong.  But exercise also makes us mentally strong, because when we exercise, it increases the blood flow to our brain, and provides oxygen and nutrients to our brain.

That’s why it is necessary for us to include exercise in our daily routine, be it running, cycling, swimming, or dancing, it will not only strengthen our muscles but also improve our mental health. 

2. Eat brain foods 

We all know that we need the energy to keep working continuously, and we get this energy from food.  And the same thing applies to our brains.  Antioxidants, amino acids, and vitamin E are all necessary for the brain to remain healthy.  That’s why we should give priority to things like nuts, berries, whole grains, fish, and avocados instead of eating fast food.

For the brain to be healthy, we must eat healthy foods, as it is necessary for our brain to function properly.

3. Learn something new 

Keeping learning something new not only makes us skillful, but it is also helpful in improving brain power.  The more we challenge our mind, keep learning new things, and keep trying something new, the we are making our mind strong and flexible.

If you like music, you can learn to play an instrument, or online games are a great way to think smartly and compete, so sometimes playing online games can help improve brain power.

4.Get some sun

Sunlight is an excellent source of vitamin D.  Exposure to sunlight is the easiest and healthiest way for the body to absorb vitamin D.  Vitamin D improves our mood and is also very beneficial for bones, teeth, and muscles.

Vitamin D is also needed for our brain to stay healthy, as well as it helps the brain to perform better and slow down aging.

5. Sleep Well

Poor sleep at night can disturb the functioning of our brain.  If we don’t get enough quality sleep at night, we feel tired, sluggish the next day, and we have sleepy eyes even while working.

This can prove to be very harmful in the long run, it has been revealed in many research that our memory can be weak due to a lack of good quality sleep.  That’s why adults should get 6-8 hours of sleep every night, and sleep and wake up at a fixed time.

We should sleep early in the night so that we can get up early in the morning because getting up early in the morning is associated with success and productivity.

6. Listen to Music

Music is a very powerful and unique brain stimulant, as it helps in activating many parts of our brain.  You must have realized that normally when we work while listening to music, we don’t even realize when we are done.  Because it is very helpful in stimulating the brain and enhancing general cognitive function.

7. Read 

There are many benefits of reading, many people read to relax or learn, many people read to motivate themselves, and many people read to keep themselves busy.  But one important advantage of reading is that it plays an important role in the development of the brain.

When we are constantly reading new things, our brains need to process vast amounts of information in a unique way.  It is very helpful in activating many parts of our brain, as we do many things while reading, such as processing characters, imagining, empathizing, learning, and remembering.  Therefore reading is very helpful in improving our brain power.

8. Learn how to rest

Like every part of our body, our mind also needs adequate rest.  However, sometimes some stress is necessary for healthy brain function, as it helps in faster decision making and problem-solving.  But too much stress is not good for the brain.  That’s why it is very important for us to learn to relax our brain.

If you want to relax your mind, you should consider some relaxation techniques such as mindfulness, mediation, or yoga.  And we should try to do some new activities which give us pleasure.

9. Meditate.

Meditation is a very trending topic at the present time, in Ayurveda also meditation has been said to be very helpful in calming the mind, reducing stress, and improving brain power.  And even in the present time, it has been revealed in many kinds of research that meditation reduces stress, and helps us to be mentally healthy.
