LeBron James, Lakers reportedly talk $98 million extension
NBA superstar King James and the LA Lakers are discussing a 2-year extension worth $98 million, according to several reports.
LeBron James, 37, became eligible for a contract extension on Thursday and met with Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka.
LeBron can become a free agent in 2023 if he opts to do so, but ESPN says the initial talks were "productive."
Uncertainty about LeBron James' interest in a new deal still exists
because of statements LeBron James has made about spending his final NBA season on whatever roster his son, Bronny, winds up on as a rookie.
Currently, Bronny attends Sierra Canyon School in LA.
